this won’t be a post based on specs, its going to be a post about ease of use.
with my experience with FireWire, you just plug the cable in and it runs.. no installation of drivers, no restarting of the computer.
with USB you will have to do the opposite, finding the right drivers for the hardware. most of the time I can’t even find the disks for all my usb hardware?
so if firewire is easier than usb, why isnt it on more hardware? well look who supports it, Apple supports Firewire and the rest of the whitebox companies support USB. ![]()
