MSFT says Vista will ship ontime

so it looks like the “Empire” won’t delay sending its plans for the war machine to the presses. sounds good for its investors who stock was recommended on Jim Cramer’s Mad Money.

“And Adobe Systems Inc. (ADBE) is worried its popular PDF file format will be supplanted by a new file type expected to be bundled in with Vista.”

now that is a bad arguement. looks like Adobe wants easy access to Windows Users but when MSFT invests in new technology and is better from first glance to PDF which is very bloated and slow. why shouldn’t Microsoft Support a new file format? they are beginning to support ODF.

hey if you can’t compete with the big boys it looks you should buy a youtube and call it victory loll

China – Capitalism or Hybrid Capitalism?

sorry I haven’t blogged for awhile, been lazy.

I was reading a article in the WSJ about a doctor who started a solar panel company, the majority of investment came from the Chinese Government which owned 75% of it, the Doctor Shi Zhengrong, one of the most wealthiest man in China since the IPO. now my confusion comes from the fact that the Government of China helps and owns alot of big international businesses based in China, Lenovo is one.

compared to the US Policy, the US Government doesn’t get even close to where China is. Chinese government invests in small start ups where the US Government doesn’t have any involvement. they might offer incentives to consumers but not directly act as a investmentor.

now I’m not saying this is bad, as a developing nation I think that is a great way to start up your economy or to create growth.

Question is, will China stop with the involvement of start up capital, relinquish government owned companies and let the Free Market decide what happens?

Google and YouTube – 1.6Billion

well I was reading the regular news websites and just started to laugh? why?.. because Google wants to buy YouTube, yep, it’s a no revenue website where its surely to get sued once it gets acquired. just like Mark Cuban said, once you buy it your toast!.

http://money.cnn.com/2006/10/06/news/companies/google_youtube/index.htm?postversion=2006100612

why stupid companies exist and tend to waste money.

Ebay bought Skype for 1 Billion.

Google buys Writely.com – web based word processor.

I hate when companies act like this, they earn billions of dollars and stop acting efficient and one day they become complacent and act like a Microsoft.

for Google, do I see a wave of people getting rid of Office and going to use Writely? No, why? because convenience, why would I use a web based program when I have a better quality one on my desktop?. are businesses likely to switch to writely? nope.

what Businesses use in the office the employee is more likely to use at home (example of this is Spreadsheet and Apple.)

I don’t see a future in webbased office products. if their is a market its a small market. The platform based programs are so much efficient. I don’t need to goto writely.com, login and what if my net connection goes out? Firefox crashes or IE crashes. and why would I want my documents on a public server, say if it was a business plans, financials, research. some workers might try to break in and steal my work.

and for software bought by download only? nope, no future either? why? because the user will want a back up of it. why would I pay 20-60 dollars for a download and what if the file gets deleted or if the company no longer would host my file on their server?. yup yup

It’s just too new (or pointless)and I think Google is yesterdays news. Its like the WebBased OS. its kinda idiotic, why would I want another OS running when another one is Running ontop of it? if I knew Google was going to buy a webbased Word processor I wouldve coded one and tell them they could buy mine.

It’s like Skype being bought for 1 Billion dollars. It’s really stupid and ebay and all these tech companies are just going on a waste money rampage where their business doesn’t need skype, they couldve hired 10 programmers and created a copy of skype by themselves for cheap.

looks like this Eric Schmidt guy isn’t all cracked up to be

Why the Google is trapped in search.

okay I will have some people will go “your crazy, The Goog stock price is 400” yep, just because its high doesn’t mean thats the real value of it. I think the company is really overvalued, its a new company and gets alot of speculators excited but once its growth slows down it will get slapped by all the critics going “I told you so”.

Goog only revenue stream is its main search, the other services, Google Talk, Google Mail and all the other niche services haven’t really succeeded. I mean, technically from a business standpoint Google Talk isn’t really anything WOW. nor is Goog Mail. who really uses 2GB of storage?

Google knows Search and it knows it well but when they try to expand their services they flounder, Their area of expertise is risky. They have 2 juggernauts that are coming after them with alot of money, what will happen if Yahoo joins up with Msft? who knows, their is always new comers that will try to be the next Google. when I look threw their Research Area on Google I don’t see nothing exciting. when I look at Yahoo Next and Yahoo Research I see alot of future prototypes that excite me.

what should Google do to keep expanding? buy companies! storage companies, Sandisk, Hard Drive companies, portable memory etc etc.

just goto

Why the US should take over Chinese Markets

I was reading this article on CNN money “http://money.cnn.com/magazines/fortune/fortune_archive/2006/10/16/8388651/index.htm?postversion=2006100306”

It states that the Chinese government doesn’t want alot of foreign investments owning Chinese companies anymore (for security measures) right. I say this is the Chinese seeing the power of the US Economy and what a monster it can be.

Having a China thats free and having a strong economy means that the US will have a foreign population that will rapidly consume products (think economic growth after WW2). It’s population hasn’tt come accustomed to the middle class yet, alot still have to pull themselves out of poverty but it will eventually happen, and when that does the companies that have invested early and the populous will know who they are will go towards their products.

why you say? well if you were just coming into the middle class and you seen Mercedes, Microsoft (well not really a luxury item, but the price sure is), starbucks, SONY electronics all you life thier population will get into consumption mode.

(this blog is all wrangled up but in short their is alot of money to be made)

I have some horny readers! thats right

so I was looking at my blog stats and found that alot of readers found this blog searching for “ferrari vonage commercial”. hehe, I never intended to be found with those keywords. its cool, a reader is a reader.
